The work I called CrossSpot is a new project . I will try to place it outdoor in the town (Wroclaw) in the area of so called four temples. In one city district there are situated one synagogue, one orthodox Russian, catholic and protestant churches. I believe that the symbolic monument crossing various traditions is very important for the local society. The history of the town shows the mobility of nations and their believes. Wroclaw has been different among the other cities in Poland. The spirit of entrepreneurship and innovations is very vivid in the last years of transformation. I am attached to the place I leave, and I feel the imperative to respond to the development of the cultural environment. My project is totally independent and therefore I am looking for the support from the Foundation.

The idea of the CrossSpot is to challenge the spiritual site of citizens and make the foresight . Wroclaw is named “the meeting place” (trade mark), it seems to be the right platform to realize the idea. At this point I think, that a strong accent (monumental form), match very well with the general need for creative perception. The CrossSpot is influenced by the magnificent works of Richard Serra Torqued Ellipses and the Beuys’ quest for participative approach and higher level of awareness, which leads to more thoughtful art consumption. The sounds inside the monument are similar to the symbolic linguistic problems in tower of Babel. The differences found in the various religious traditions are not relevant as far as faith is concerned.

The CrossSpot is a clean and rough regular form, made of steel construction; square tubes (size 4” x 4” x 1/8”) and steel profil (channel section 4” x 2” x 1/8”). The total size is 10m x 6m x 6 meters (390” x 234” x 234”). The Block has got four open doors oriented to the 4 sites with a light centre. The speakers of the sound system are installed in each of the corridor. Walking slowly along the narrow interior, a person will be surrounded by a subtle sound - characteristic for the different religious gatherings, however they will not be genuine sound tracks. Each speaker will produce different voice, so the impression will be the mixture of the voices .
