Wassiliew J.A., dozent of drawing department in A.I.Gertzen Russian State Pedagogical University, Sankt Petersburg, Russia. The plan of scientific work « Russian branch Mecklenburg - Strelitz family. Russia - Germany. Sight of the artist of XXI century. »

 This work represents an art sight of the author on architecturally-landscape and portret line of one of the most known great-princely families in Russia 19 centuries.
 Duke George-August (George-August-Ernest-Adolf-Karl-Ludwig) Meklenburg-Strelitz (1824-1886) - the second son of Great duke George-Fridrich Meklenburg-Strelitz in 1851 married the grand daughter of Emperor Paul I to Great princess Ekaterina Mihajlovna (1827-1894). This marriage has served the basis of Russian branch Meklenburg-Strelitz family.
 All members of this surname have brought the worthy contribution to various areas of the state and public life of Russia of 19 centuries. Protection of Fatherland and military construction - in these areas have reached outstanding successes dukes George-August and George Georgievich. Charity, protection medicine and arts are areas where magnificent qualities of Great princess Ekaterina Mihajlovny and Duchess Elena Georgievny were showed.
 The Surname Meklenburg-Strelitz owned in Petersburg the most beautiful buildings and the whole architectural ensembles which have made Glory of northern capital. Only one list of objects is a list finest samples of architecture of a world level: Mikhailovsky palace, Kamennoostrovsky palace, a private residence of countess Karlovoj, Oranienbaum -  palace and park complex. Many known addresses in Petersburg are connected with activity of members of a surname or are places of their burial places.
 After October revolution per 1917 duke Michael Georgievich and duchess Elena Mihajlovna have emigrated to Germany and they have returned to the patrimonial jack in place Remplin, where on a local cemetery and have been buried.  Charles-Gregor was born, here in a magnificent palace in 1933. But in 1940 palace has burned down, only minor constructions have escaped.  Till now historians on particles recreate shape of former greatness of a palace and all manor.
 The Same destiny has comprehended a palace and in capital Meklenburg-Strelitz of duchy the city of Neustrelitz. The kept park with a garden sculpture and a greenhouse speak about magnificence of former architecture. In city of the Worlds there is cathedral-tomb Meklenburg-Strelitz and a palace.
 As is known 19 century - a century of classicism, a century of fine achievements in all arts: poetry, the literature, music, painting, architecture, but it and a century of fine, self-denying people. A duty of descendants to not bury in neither affairs, nor a heritage, images of our most worthy ancestors. The purpose of this work is the reconstruction means of water colour painting of spirit of architectural landscapes and landscapes of 19 centuries for an example of a surname of princes Meklenburg-Strelitz, to reconstruct images of the lost constructions in Petersburg, vicinities and in the cities of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, to recreate a portrait line of family. 
 In this work the author bases on kindly given historical materials in Petersburg: Memorial library of prince G.V.Golitsina, in Remplin: historian Rozemarie Shöder.
 The Author worked above landscapes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in current of last 5 years. In November, 2004 the author had been organized a final exhibition „ Die deutsche Provinz in den Bilden St. Petersburg Künstler “. In the summer of 2005, 2007, 2008 the author has visited Remplin and has collected a preliminary material on the given theme.
 The Author represents necessary a following calendar of stay and work to Germany: 

-July-August- September- 2007 - cities Remplin, Malchin, Teterow, Basedow; -October -November-December -2007 -cities Noestrelitz, Mirow, Karlow, Shwerin; -Jenuary-February-March- 2007 - a trip to Bavaria for work above portraits of members of family of Duke Charles-Gregor. -april- may-june-2007- Berlin The Russian part of materials is already partially executed also end planned in June, 2007. As the report the author assumes to organize an exhibition from 50-60 water colour pictures in gallery in Mirov city, and to publish an album-monography with scientifically-art treatment of this theme.
