To exhibit art works which revision the Japonisume. The title of the show is "Where are the California Rolls from"?

My idea is the exploration of a non-literal and ahistorical portrayal of landscape, which has been presumed as most unspectaclar genre of paintings, extractiong the visible intersections that Western landscape has with Hokusai´s landscape. Because it seemed to me, contrary to the Japonisume movement as is generally known, that some sort of reverse crossover had occurred – one example being Hokusais use of the horizon in relation to the overall composition. These Western Japonisume begann between the both worlds during Japan had been politically barred, however, culturally very enlightened – about 80 years before the advent of The Japonisume.
