Dear Curator,
I have submitted two projects for your consideration. These are both Artists' Books that I have not been realized at the present time. They are two in a series of six artists' books I am producing. The first three have been realized, the fourth is in the process of being printed. I have included a digital version of Dialogues for your review. I have also included an early mock-up of Broadside-the concepts of the visual imagery and layout are not realized at this time and are in the very early conceptual stage. Broadside: Planned Edition of 200. Text of a conceptual, rhetorical nature on politics, relationships, dream and creativity. Presented as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional 19th Century Broadside format, with letterpress, supported by woodcut, engraved and/or drypoint images.
Plan for a New American Home : Planned edition of 200. Woodcut, engraving and letterpress, Largely a text on the nature of suburban American architecture and the influence on development of the individual and societal personality. This book will work to create a Contemporary interpretation of the Illuminated Gothic Manuscript.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your Time and Consideration on this matter.
Regards,
Jordan West
