SCISSORGATE Client: Banker’s Hall Downtown Tower Entry / Calgary Alberta Canada Date: 2003

Based on the child’s game; Scissors, Paper, Rock, these giant forms create an obstacle course of forms akin to a Japanese Garden. The offset wall where the giant scissors sit cut away, invites you to enter through it. The windblown, folded piece of paper is a sundial that measures time in shadows at its base. The rock is something to climb, sit on, or lean against while waiting for someone. Built out of space-age epoxies and non-corrosive materials, it would endure Canada’s coldest days. Only one of 7 such sites translating the theme throughout the building.

Unrealized: Jury did not award commission.
