On a sunny day, we can see the shadows of everything naturally. We know that real objects are positive things and the shadows of them are negative things. I want to consider the relationship between negative and positive. Shadows represent the existence of actual object, so we can recognize the reality of this world through shadows. One of my aims is to grasp the shadows which are 2 dimensional and make them 3 dimensional, transforming the negative effect into a positive object again. I aim to create a new existence of the negative meaning. If there is a tree outside, I can create this work. I focus on a tree, so it is a kind of a portrait of a tree. In this project, I just observe the movement of the shadows of a tree. As a result, I can create a form by focusing on the moment. Everything is unstable and changeable. Therefore, I observe the phenomena and I pick up the sophisticated shapes from them. This work is a kind of aggregation of time. We can see another unexpected view when I show loci of each moment. In addition, we can awake to the present in the movement of the shadows through this object.
