Artist Statement These drawings are a new series about the ladies who shopped and shopped and lost their heads. Their necks were used as a periscope.and finally someone said, Put your money where your mouth is. Voila they became known as the Purse Heads. Tent torsos is a saving economic factor for those on the run. Although it’s funnyou can see this is a fun series but it represents the rise and fall of economies through brainless choices and frivolous spending. Indeed another suggested idea is the wasted money spent on hedonistic purchases instead of being put to better use, ie, helping others, saving the planet, etc. Of course I do believe in free speech so this is my idea and doesn't necessarily apply to everyone. As you probably realize and I do some artists like to present moralistic transformations possible on all planes of life, from personal to world consciousness. Bossy, bossy, when I make art someone's in charge:right, it's that damn Muse of mine.
