The project entitled “Dialogue” consists of a ping-pong table and two sound speakers. Measuring a total of 274 x 152 x 136 cm, this unfinished installation would have both speakers facing each other at both of the extremities of the table. The speakers would be connected to a computer that would play, in loop, two different soundtracks. Thus, making both of the soundtracks engage into a never-ending dialogue.

This particular piece articulates on the concept of ‘play’. As it can be understood in the English language ‘to play’ can be an action of engaging with a musical instrument, or triggering a song; can also be the action of a game, either individual, multiplayer, analogical or virtual; and in a third variation can be understood as a performance, ex. Theater play.

“Dialogue” travels throw these three semantic acknowledgements, understanding them as forms of dialogue, sometimes more literal and other more symbolic. But, as stated on the first paragraph, this is an unfinished installation. In the efforts of trying to finish this installation, the missing link, the soundtracks, never came to suit the piece. Making the dialogue incomplete until now. Maybe finding refugee as a project.
