SPATIAL INSTALLATION: Wall made out of strings. Measures: 3m high x 4m breed The wall will be built based on a structure (wood or any other stable material) with two equal sides, supporting two transport bands with motor, which are holding the ropes and rope structure. This transport bands, in a vertical position, will move simultaneously and with same speed. In between both bands, hundreds of ropes will create a surface, being able to see through it. The wall is connected to sensors delimiting the space, with two inputs, the number of people in the space and the distance between people within the delimited space: the more people in the space, the more visibility through the wall. The more closed to other people, the more visibility through the wall. I analyze space and how the definition of private and public space have changed since then because of the cultural, environmental and social changes. How important is the way we perceive space and how all our senses have influence in this perception. How to create, making very small changes, “altered spaces”, playing with the perception of the viewer. The way of dealing with space and the use of it has changed, adapting it to the needs of society. Want to investigate if possible to have influence in this needs by changed the space perception and use. Look for the interaction as a dialog between persons and objects, and how I wanna experience interaction with persons and space (which we can simplify by persons and objects as far as space is defined by objects that form that space). There are two ways of using interactivity, that is, using interactivity as a concept or using interactivity as a medium. I choose to use it as a medium and start the scenario where people interact with the space where in they are (in a social or private way). And I say social (public) or private way because I think that from an architectonical point of view those borders can be mixed together, creating intimate spaces in public ones and becoming a voyeur in public spaces (without other people feeling or knowing it).
