The ‘Unrealized project’ I am foreshadowing made its first ‘appearance’ first in 2011. The work tried to make visible the experience of keeping a secret. This secret took the form of bread for the shooting of a 16mm and super 8 mm film. This ritualistic ‘eating of bread’ was first recorded in UK. A series of stills were kept but the project never realized its full potential. Thoughts followed on the nature and subtlety of intention when it is on the threshold of realizing itself, as well as on fear that might embrace this intention. The question that arises form the realization of the work is philosophical/ perceptual; on the physicality of consciousness and imagination.

The work therefore stands for unrealized potential, unconscious emotions, ghost movements, and on their struggle towards visibility.
