Dear Hans-Ulrich Obrist,
I'm sending some images to you on disk. There are four stills of a theater set. (et 1 and et 2 on the first disk and et 3 and et5 on the second disk.) These are printable using Photoshop 3.0.
Here is the text you asked for
1. Title "Electronic Theater"
2. Year: 1987
3.Description:
Computer controlled electronic theater sets.
In this first set design, a stream of chairs are
being blown upwards by a jet of air issuing from an open
trap door in the stage. In the second, scrims are
rotated to catch projected images from several sources
of film and video. In the third, collapsible stairs function as
the crenellated screen. In the fourth, hydraulics turn the
set elements.
4. Previous publications: none
5. Existing documents (see disks)
6. This production was never mounted for obvious financial reasons.
Hope this helps you out and sorry to take so long in getting back to you. I look forward to receiving a copy of your publication.
yours truly,
Laurie Anderson
