Danses is a single channel digital video, comprised of three pieces, looped together to create a linear digital tryptic. The sound is an electro acoustic digital piece performed and arranged by myself, based on Erik Satie's Gymnopodies.

TITLE Danses DESCRIPTION OF EXHIBIT A single channel digital video projected onto one wall of the gallery as pictured on page 2. Stereo speakers attached to the DVD player for projecting sound into the room, positioned for optimal sound dispersion.

STATEMENT OF ARTISTIC INTENT Danses is comprised of three pieces, looped together to create a digital tryptic. The digital sound in Danses is an electro acoustic digital arrangement based on Erik Satie's Gymnopodies. The altered digital imagery of the group emulates forms in nature and brings to visual life Contamine de Latour's "The Ancient", upon which the Gymnopodies were based.
