Unrealized project no. 09: Further Development or To Be in an Endless State of Flux

The work takes up the incessant developments in social, political and scientific matters and transfers this idea of a never-ending process allegorically onto buildings of the public life. With a minor intervention the piece divests the structures of its finished appearance to set it into a short pause during an ongoing process of alteration and further development. By simply attaching faked reinforcement steel onto the rooftop the completeness of the enclosed structure is broken down. The whole appearance is changed fundamentally from a static form to a state of change and flux. The incompleteness provides the flexibility to respond to further challenges in a metaphorical way and emphasizes the endeavour of an institution that sees the status quo as a never-finished and ongoing process.
