Books are the source material for my work; I propose to create a series of cut-books influenced on my stay in Dublin. Irelands great literary tradition and the importance of text, language, and history in my work makes Dublin an ideal place for me to create. During the summer of 2007 I spent a week doing research in the National Library in Dublin for a still-frame animation project I am working on based on conceptual DNA connections, narrative, time and movement, the geno project. From my visit I know there is a wealth of, text, language, and history, and not to mention used books to draw from. I plan to do what it is I do, create, using the resources at hand and the experiences of everyday life.
