The Warhol Machine is a mechanism that will bring 15 minutes of fame to everyone. It is an installation in Times Square, New York City, consisting of a video camera in a booth, a visitor inside the booth and in front of the camera and the already installed video screens all over Times Square. The visitor's image will be projected on these walls for 15 minutes sharp. Visitors in the booth can present themselves to the world in any way they like.

The project was conceived of in the year 2000 and was not realized due to lack of funds. Nowadays there are casting shows that use a similar concept. But they differ from the Warhol Machine in that they are of commercial nature and that they are much less democratic than they try to appear.
