Synopsis: Performance based around a volcano constructed from paper mache. Set to a pre-recorded audio poem with interactive components.

Materials: Paper Mache Volcano, speakers,pre-precorded poem, amplifying device, pre-printed poems, moon that hands from a stick and string, fire starting tools, fire-crackers, paint (lava), two particiiapnts, a bell.

Inital visuals: Crowd seated on benches facing a large inactive paper mache vocano. A carboard moon on a string held by a pole lays on the floor on the right side.

Cue Audio MALE: Hello lovers, please simmer down, relax your mind, relax your breath, why don't you close your eyes? Ahh..thats nice, isn't it? We are about to start, but can you do something for me? When you here a chime, please take out your paper you were provided with and read aloud the bold text. The second ringing of the chime will indicate your time to stop recitation. No need for shyness here, lovers. Shall we begin? 5...4...3...2...1

                FEMALE:
      Right now, the moon is starring at

us. An actor comes and lifts the moon/pole up to stage right, behind the moon. Actor looks at the moon. Pretty music plays softly. FEMALE: To bad I don't write poetry...or I wish I knew how to write poetry. 2 Head of the actor looks down. FEMALE: It is about one...and a half thumbs high... MALE: Try it, you'll see. FEMALE: And...right in the middle of the world. But I can feel the tension. MALE: I can too...can you? Tension filled music plays. A chime rings, cueing the audience to read PAPER 1: Yes, I too can feel the tension, aren't you afraid? (repeat after group 2 until cued to stop). Participant holding the moon slowly recedes. PAPER 2: I don't feel a thing, I never do. (recite after group 1, repeat until cued to stop). Bell chimes rings indicating audience to stop recitation. Tension music ensure with noises of volcano rumbling. The chimes cues the participant stationed inside the volcano to start erupting.Confetti shoots out of the volcano mouth followed by paint which billows down the sides. Fireworks ignite and launch off it.Participant inside volcano discreetly escape through back of the volcano and the whole volcano engulfs in flames. The end.
