(CAPTURING) FOG IN A BOX (2012) This unrealized project is to capture fog in a box (a clear Lucite type of box) so that the fog can be seen inside the box. The box can then be carried around (further into the fog) on a walk down the beach shoreline. Thus walking with captured fog into it's uncaptured origin. Both are alike, yet exist in opposite conditions. Once captured fog no longer has the properties to materialize or disappear, unlike in it’s original state based on the whims of weather it can evaporate as easily as it appears. As elusive as it is to capture this airborne cool damp watery substance, so is the realization of the project. This project idea was conceived from observing various formations of fog creeping in over the ocean and marshes being uncontrollable and elusive to capture.
