By drawing, texturing and otherwise manipulating them, I create the drawings that are eventually cast in metal and become timeless. The marks could include themes from the planetarium, the new Center for Community, and/or the campus community at large. These tiles would be lost-wax cast into aluminum in a continuous series of expressionistic wall reliefs that would be inset into the block-out areas. They would reflect the physical environment and users of the underpass while at the same time reflecting the aforementioned themes. In addition to their inherent beauty and timeless high art, these reliefs are extremely strong (welded together by a spoolmatic gun), making them perfect for a widely-used public environment.
