Dreams of Little Nemo is a public sculpture about a personage in a comic book that I read as a child during the Second World War in occupied Paris. Little Nemo in Slumberland is a book about a scared small boy with whom I identified completely. He was my best friend and probably saved my sanity. I started working with this topic making a public sculpture L’enfance de l’art that celebrates the comic book made by McCay for my solo show in MAMAC in Nice, France, in 2008. I also made several drawings on this topic.

About myself. I was born and educated in Paris and I live in New York. I had about fifty museum shows internationally. My works are presented in public and private collections and in the museums in the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Korea, Japan, and Israel.

I appreciate the idea of a collection of unrealized projects and will be glad to hear from you about the development of this idea and this collection. Thank you.

    Best of luck,

    Michel Gerard
