The project is a flying construct with an aluminium body of a catamaran and two bicycle-like-systems with pedals (run by two people), connected to two propellers. It flies on 6 helium-filled baloons (5 m diameter) each of them carrying 65 kg, all together about 390 kg. The means of propulsion are the propellers and a sail in front of the catamaran. The lift and descent takes place on water. The flying ship is a well-known utopian image from moving pictures. The romantically absurd symbol of escapism (literal and metaphorical) represents the forgotten joy of inventing and an attempt of flying as a historical human aspiration. It also serves as a research vehicle for places that are hardly reachable but can be flown over near to the ground (like the Amazonian rainforest).
