"The Gate" Carlo Marcucci 2005
"Lookouts" Carlo Marcucci 2005
These images are part of a photographic series that were originally created for the Italian No-Name Magazine. Each image features an imaginary monumental structure that, realistically, are impossible to create. The digital images are based on a real series of wall-mounted sculptures called "Wheatfields".
“Wheatfields” is a real body of work made of edible materials, such as spaghetti, soba and udon noodles. They are abstract interpretations of food containers and the role they have our modern food distribution.
These large outdoor structures could never be made of pasta, and therefore remain a conceptual idea.
