The year before 9/11 I was unable to paint in my studio and I made a series of images about The World Trade Center on handy wall calendars. I lived on West Broadway one block north of the colossal buildings that had already been attached several years earlier. I had been having dreams about the two towers that were cataclysmic. In these two drawings I attempted to recreate a safe haven that would continue the wonder I felt about these towers I had lived under since 1976.
